Made a weak attempt at being funny & fell on my face in the mud.  I actually speak a lot of Spanish.

Cinco is the Spanish number 5.

De is of.

Mayo is May.

Therefore, Cinco de Mayo translates to "Fifth day of May"

I can count as high in Spanish as in English.

Thanks for clearing that up Jerry. I thought Mayo was a Spanish ship and cinco was Spanish for sink.
