well its been awhile since i was last here.  Thats because iv been trying to get my cnc machine working.  were so darn close its driving me nutts!!!  i know what to do and how to do it for the most part now, at least the simple stuff but for some reason the darn thing isnt working.... a wounderful man on pauls cnc sight named mark has been trying to help me over the computer but sometimes im just not sure what to do...the last thing he told me to try was to download a driver...he told me where to go and which driver to download but when i went to the sight i looked through ALL the drivers listed there and the one he told me to download wasnt there.  grrr spike and my sister keep telling me i should just give up and count my losses...which being me im NOT going to do  so finally spike asked where mark lives ( only 4 hours from us) and asked him if we could bring the cnc machine and computer to him to see if he can figure out what the heaks going on..... he cant do it this month but maybe next month we can take it to him.  It is VERY FRUSTRATING to be following the directions...double checking with the person whos helping you get the yup everythings set up right go ahead and hit carve and then HAVE NOTHING HAPPEN!  grr lol but as long as i still have my sense of humer i think im doing ok. lol I have managed to cut out a few peices on the scroll saw which are waiting to be finished as well as a few other crafts.... but most of my time has been tring to get that arn cnc machine working!!  so now im taking a break from it and i think i need to walking away from it for awhile so hopefuly when mark can have us come i'll be frish and ready to get this thing finally figured out. asides from that iv been working with my spical needs dog we got from the pound. they had to put her in a crate an cover it with a sheet so we could bring her home. then she spent the first week cowered in a corner of the crate trying to make herself as small as possable. i had to keep a leash on her so i  could drag her out to the dog yard to go potty and then shed run right back into  the crate as soon as i let her back in. slowly she started comming out (we kept the door opened) in the middle of the night when she though we were sleeping...and walking around a bit...then she started hidding under the couch....i figured well at least shes out of the crate.  slowly i was able to sit closer and closer to her and eventualy my hand actualy touched her paw. poor girl almost jumped out of her skin!! but after just sitting there with my hand next to her for awhile she started sniffing my hand and then letting my hand touch her foot...until we worked up to my actualy being able to touch her and pet her.  then it was time to attatch her to me with the training leash at first id sit on the couch and she only had to come out when i had to walk to the kitchen or down the hall onces she did ok with that we took her off the leash and she would come out from time to time to look around and sneak into the kitchen lol  then we foloded up the bed poor girl felt totaly exposed. why she didnt retreat into  the crate im not sure but i sat with her for a few days and slowly she started to relax.... long story well notshort as its to late for that lol my bonnie girl is now acting like a normal puppy here in the house and she comes to us asking to be petted and love and dosnt want us to stop lol i taught her to walk on the leash in the dog yard then the front yard and now we are walking around the neighborhood... i take sheba too.  she was afraid of the walker at first but now shes an old pro lol shes such a smart dog she has learned so much in such a short time i started teaching her to sit last week and she already sits on command with out any prompting.  Its a shame she would have made a fantastic service dog IF she hadnt of been so badly abused before we got her.  but thats ok shes a wounderful addition to our family and im sure eventually she will o better when we have compeny. right now when we have compeny i need to sit on the floor right next to her she gets so scared she starts trembling.....but shes learning we've only encountered 2 other people when were walking but the second time she didnt try to crawl inside of me lol just got between my body and the inside of the walker lol  im not sure whos teaching and helping who between the 2 dogs at this point....bonnie is getting protective of sheba and gos slow when were walking and sort of stops if she thinks sheba is getting to close to getting run over by the walker, notthat i would let that happen but its good to see bonnie doing it too...and she helps sheba find the door to come in from the dog yard.  sheba is now competely blind but you would never know it when shes here in the house except at bedtime because i moved the bed and she still gos to where it used to be. well this is long sorry but thats what iv been up to

Always good to have members come back... I envy you having a CNC.  I think one of those or a 3D printer would be great fun.

Or both.   I don't have room for either in my shop right now.  But I do have an ok to expand my shop, working on plans for that.  Floor space now, tools later.
