Phantom Scroller Posted August 4, 2021 Report Posted August 4, 2021 Made this from 1 1/4 " thick Sapele wood on the CNC. hush my mouth. With a slate tile added to chalk the amount of days left until Christmas think it might sell stand up anywhere. For those interested I Pocketed with 3mm end mill to thickness of tile and a 60 deg vbit carved everything else took 12 minutes and more than that to paint it and varnish. kmmcrafts Posted August 6, 2021 Report Posted August 6, 2021 (edited) Wow that's cool!! They should be good sellers... I have not done much CNCing in a while.. I make all my clock bases on my CNC and engrave my website address on the bottom.. I've done a few of the popular flags.. just today got a custom order for a flag with a tractor from the guys tractor photo.. I'm not sure I'm good enough to make the file but I'll try. I recently bought a laser attachment for the CNC.. Haven't tried it yet but looks like it'll be fun. My trouble with my CNC is.. what to make.. I'm like clumsy working with the Vcarve software and custom orders I get I'm in a hurry to get them done so it's quicker to throw a half a** pattern together and scroll it.. Can't just throw crappy patterns to the CNC or you get crappy carves, LOL My small K40 40 watt CO2 laser I had shut down mostly since last fall.. I love running it and easy to work with.. but I'm too busy packing orders in the fall / early winter.. too cold to run it in the middle of winter and hard to keep the water cool enough to run it in the hot summer weather, LOL It would help if I moved it from the upstairs loft ( hot up there in the summer ) to downstairs in my actual shop.. It's always great to use all three on a projects scrollsaw/cnc and laser I'm always scanning the internet for inspiration and use Aspire to produce the goods as SVG's they are easy to edit and produce the gcode in Aspire.
