Help needed

I have this photo its the only one my partner has. I need to turn it into an image I can use for the scroll saw could someone help me please as I struggling?

Bring a small pic the grains are splitting when enlarging in order to make a pattern..

You noted you were struggling, and I can certainly understand that. 

Some images are quite difficult to work with due to contrast and such not being easily picked out.

Maybe if you take this and work from there you can come up with a viable pattern. It's a matter of erasing here and there to insure that you have bridges and leaving enough detail to be recognizable when cut.

I'm wanting to see you succeed in designing a pattern on your own.

Travis, I must say you did an outstanding job in creating that pattern from the photo. I do good to change the stroke and fill. Been watching your videos on Inkscape so I'm learning.

Thank you glad to hear you are still watching my videos Its been a long time since I made them. I don't use inkscape or Gimp anymore. I draw on my patterns freehand with my tablet in sketchbook pro
