Wichman Posted November 29, 2021 Report Posted November 29, 2021 Well, I'm done for the year (with shows) I have two projects to finish up and then it's on to family gifts. The show this weekend did very well, sold more than $200 in ornaments and all the little reindeer (made 5 more Sat morning before the show)(the reindeer I just cut and blow off the sawdust, no sanding, no finish and they fly off the table. I did miss some sales as I ran out of the style of ornaments that people wanted. And I sold the last fretwork basket that I had in stock, oh darn I'll have to make some more. During the summer I had a woman stop and ask if I could engrave her husbands gun stocks, I told her I had to turn her down as I don't have a laser, she turned to look at my work and went pale when she realized everything was cut manually. How have your sales done this year? kmmcrafts 1 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted December 3, 2021 Report Posted December 3, 2021 Glad to hear you had a good year with sales.. My sales are doing pretty well too so far. Only do online sales but I just checked out last night how I rate compared to last year which I posted around here somewhere that last year because of the Covid lock downs my sales last year was awesome. I had posted that I would probably never have another year like that.. but I was wrong. Website stats show my sales are down 50% I knew they was down as I have had a busy summer with rebuilding a Jeep engine for my daughters Jeep and I did a few home repairs so anyway I just didn't advertise the site and work it like I should have.. BUT.. the orders I did get was large custom orders and my revenue is up 28% Etsy stats shows my sales increased 1% and my revenue increased 4% Not a huge increase here but I expected a huge decrease because of the awesome year I had last year.. Amazon stats shows sales up 25% revenue up 26% Overall I'm doing a lot better than I expected.. I may shut down the sites shortly and take a couple weeks off.. It's been very crazy with packing orders etc. the last 6 weeks for so.. I'm whooped.. Usually slows up the week after Christmas but steady orders usually until mid January. I have a ton of bookkeeping to catch up on etc. so as I said.. I may shut down early just to take a break from the crazy and do a little website work and bookkeeping. Quote
jbrowning Posted December 7, 2021 Report Posted December 7, 2021 Glad you all had a good year selling. I had 3 craft shows this year. The first one I sold 44 puzzles that was a Saturday Show from 9-4 p.m.. Then I had a small show that I sold 15 puzzles, that was a Saturday Show from 10-3p.m.. Then the last one this past weekend was a two day show and I sold 20 puzzles. Saturday was 9-4 p.m. and then Sunday was from 10-4p.m. So all in all it wasn't a bad season for me. I will be looking at fine tuning some things/making some displays and increase my inventory. Because I couldn't keep the Aussie puzzles on the table they sold so quick. Also wanting to do a Farmers Market or two this summer. My goal also is to cut out at least 1 puzzle each week night after work and then try and cut between 4-5 puzzles each weekend.
