Very nice, thanks for posting!  His sayings are as true today as they were then.  And, as I get older I can relate to his thoughts about aging, especially about beating the ground with sticks.

Thanks for sharing. Ole Will has long been an interesting character to me. His way of seeing things even during hard times helped folks a great deal. While stationed in Alaska in the late 60's and early 70's, I took an annual trip to Point Barrow and a couple of times went with a native guide I had met to see the place where they crashed. It's not a huge-big deal memorial, but it was something I just had to do. Glad I got the chance.
