I made this out in the shop this week for my daughter-in-law's desk , made of Cherry - it was hard to cut since I'm use to cutting that soft pine all the time ......any comments welcome ............ :D

Nicely done Marshall....I have read that you need plenty packing tape to stop the blade burning the wood while cutting Cherry...did you use tape? Thanks for showing.

No I didn't use anything but a slow cutting action , I usally don't use the tapes unless I do the fine detailed protraits stack cuts . I guess it's just all the cutting I've done , I always say slow is better - haven't had any burning problems as long as I use the right flying Dutchman blade and the right speed .........I think the more cutting that one does , is the best teacher in the long run ......thanks for the comment ......MB
