Hello

Cutting out two chess sets. One for my son and one for my nephew. although I have cut this out from cheap pine which is creating me alot of sanding i am really pleased with it which is why i ended up with two. Please let me know what you think of it and ask any questions you like.

Thanks

Hi Brian

I totally agree about cutting the sets from some nice wood and staining. The problem is that it was the first time i have done any 3d scrolling so I did it using some cheap bits of wood i had in my garage. Before I knew it I had cut out lots of pieces and find this very addictive. It seems quite easy to get good results. Then I came across the problem of finishing only to find that I dont like the look of the cheap wood so I decided to paint it. Next time if I make another I will make it from some better stock and stain it.

Thanks for your reply
