I've been following this YouTube channel for a while now.. They have some good content about business.. I knew this going in on GI and I haven't put all my products up nor have I put a lot of effort in. That all said.. I did way better on my Shopify shop than I have on GI.. but the price per month of Shopify was 2 times more per month.. GI is growing but at the rate of growth is very slow.. GI does allow some selling of supplies but having my own site lets me sell whatever I like to sell. Not knocking the site but it is going to be several years more before this really takes off.. Not leaving the site but also not putting all my effort into it.. It's just as easy and in some cases easier to do your own thing on Shopify..

The only traffic that matters to me is traffic from the US. These are potential customers. Everything else is junk. With all the junk removed, my Goimagine shop sessions are 84% of my Etsy shop. This is an unfair comparison because I have many links pointing back to Etsy, while my Goimagine shop has only a tiny fraction of that. Sales are similar, with Etsy higher but so low it is hard to tell. I need a full-year cycle to really know anything.
