Draft Horse Hitch

A friend of the family has asked me to cut a picture showing a draft horse hitch for their family farm. Now I thought it would be pretty easy to find some and give her a choice of a couple that she might like... so far I am not having a lot of luck... I don't want to re-invent the wheel, unless I have to. Does anyone out there have some draft horse hitch patterns that they are willing to share? Thanks in advance.

I think you would have much better luck getting a response to this request if you posted a picture you would like turned into a pattern. I wouldn't want to spend hours on a pattern you didn't want. If i was thinking you wanted a team pulling a plow and what you were thinking was a team pulling a corn binder well that would be a waste of our time. lol I am thinking you would like a team hitched to a wagon, but then that is just a guess. Or a sled? or pulling logs? See my point? If you post a picture i'm sure someone will be glad to help you. Maybe the woman that wants the cutting has some ideas as to what she wants.

Good point Birchbark... I will talk to her next time I see her and see if she has some pictures, I know she is looking more for a wagon, like they pull at the fairs. But I'm also pretty sure she wants a "wow" piece to put over her mantle. So I will have to get back to all you pattern makers with a picture or two when I get some better clarification. Thanks
