Well,  I think it will be a while before I buy again something from the states.  I just purchased a pattern from a small vendor through FB.  I paid with PayPal.  The pattern was $5.  With the exchange and service fee, my final cost was $11.09.  I heard this morning, that our dollar has dropped again.  Time to look through my old magazines and hit the library.

Sorry to hear that, the economy is a mess pretty much everywhere and likely to get worse before it gets better. There are a lot of free designs out there and without them many folks probably wouldn't even be in this hobby.. sadly...
