JTTHECLOCKMAN Posted March 14 Author Report Posted March 14 I was finally able to finish putting together the rolling platform for my 14" bandsaw yesterday that I bought from Grizzly. I read about it on another woodworking forum and everyone praised it. As it turns out put me on that list too. It is an easy very adjustable platform that I could build and slide under the stand with out too much trouble. It is low to the ground and has 2 steerable front wheel and 2 straight wheels in the back. Has foot locks up front that raise the wheels off the ground ever so slightly to keep from rolling. I did have to take the bandsaw apart because was too heavy for me to lift and work on. No big deal because I had a 4" riser block on it and that is where I took apart. The platform is well built and rated heavy duty so was just what I needed. I am impressed. Don't overlook Grizzly as a tool source. Quote
BadBob Posted April 2 Report Posted April 2 I finally got around to replacing the spring in my drill press. It would have been easy if I had not installed the spring backward. Quote

Nothing against Grizzly or their tools, I just find it easier to go online and look. I have their 14" bandsaw with a riser. Nice saw, I have no problem with it, except it is a bandsaw, and I hate changing blades on them. Somehow, I never seem to have the blade I need to be mounted on it when I go to use it. Maybe someone should invent a giant scroll-type machine to do bandsaw things. Easier to change blades. I had the same issue with "the wrong blade installed when I needed" My solution: I bought a second band saw from them (GO555) and installed a 1/2"resaw blade on one and a 3/16" blade for curvy cuts on the other one. Works well for me. I also have two belt sanders from harbor freight , each with differents belt grits that I buy locally.
