jdbcarving Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 I couldn't figure out how to add files to my other request, so doing it again with some of the files. I can not get the full page to print. I get the first item made, then >>>>>. The trees and snow men were going to be compound practice pieces, and then I made some ornaments, and did more than one on a page, and would not print any except the first. SO seem you can't do multiples on the page? I was told to save as PDF, okay don't see that as an option when I go to save. These are SVG files, Inkscape doesn't show me in the online manual how to go to a pdf. Any help would be appreciated and if I can only do one at a time, please let me know. Travis Posted November 14, 2012 Report Posted November 14, 2012 For PDF, it's not a save option. It's a print option. First, install PrimoPDF. This will be your printer driver. After it's installed, just print like normal (Ctrl+P), but where you choose your printer, choose PrimoPDF instead and click Print. It'll take a few seconds for the program to boot up (at least on my computer). Be sure the Print Tab is selected, then click Print PDF. It'll ask you where to save it (I like my desktop). Then Save. Depending on what your Post Process settings is, it'll either open up the PDF or do nothing. Either way, open the PDF and print like normal. This is the way I do it, anyway. I've converted your attachments to PDF for you. They're below. Enjoy! Print Snowmen.pdf Print try again.pdf Quote
don in brooklin on Posted November 15, 2012 Report Posted November 15, 2012 If you don't want to install Primopdf. Then in inkscape - SAVE AS select drop down of PDF. Then you just have to open the pdf and print. Don I have Primo installed too and it works great. It is worth having. My save as files Snowmen.pdf Snowmen.pdf Quote
jdbcarving Posted November 15, 2012 Author Report Posted November 15, 2012 Okay thanks! I have installed Primo and it works and prints fine. So, If I leave it as a SVG it will not print the entire page correct? So if I try to make several patterns on one page, printing from Inkscape only the first pattern would print, and I would have to change to pdf to make it what I want. So either make a large pattern or for multiples (small patterns) print as a pdf. Okay will work on this, thanks for all the help. Jim B Quote
