Well after many trials and tribulations I finally finished my rendition of Pebble Beach# 7 for my son who lives in San Diego. We will be visiting him next week and he has no idea that I made this for him.

The frame is 11" x16" oval made from Peruvian walnut. Intarsia woods; bushes and water--blue mahoe; Sand traps and crashing waves--holly; rocks--zericote; green--palo santos; grass--poplar; sky and sails on large boat--tulipwood; flag and sails on small boat--pau amerillo; mountains--purpleheart. 68 pieces. This was a challenging project.

That turned out awesome! You have a knack for picking the right wood for the sky/sunset. I'm really drawn to the rocks, though. Very cool. Nicely done. I need RL to slow down a bit so I can start back up on my project. You should create a User Gallery to show off your projects (you can find a tutorial here). Nicely done!
