Clayton717 Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 I'm going to West Virginia this weekend. Leaving Friday morning. Saturday afternoon and sunday I will be in the Mt. Hope - Beckely area anyone know of a woodworking store or some sites of interest in the area. Would like to do something besides sit in hotel. We are going for a celebration of life/ memorial for my wifes cousin (saturday morning) and are staying a an extra day. Quote

Dan Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Not far from Mt. Hope is Thrumond. It's a small town (if it still exists). I use to go rafting on the New River with a company there. Beautiful country. If you just want to see something a little different, you could check it out. Better pack a lunch though. There is a lot of history in the area. It use to be a big gambling town.
