Some Pens

[Dan]

Here are some pens I did recently. First is from a cherry tree root cast in PR. Second is from a barrel that held Jim Beam whiskey. Third is segmented with Bolivian rosewood, maple burl, and aluminum. And the last is green dyed buckeye burl.

Great looking pens Dan. Did you do the segmenting? What is the kit used in the first pic. I like the beam blank pen (that's what I drink) I just bought some Jim beam blanks, I really need to turn one.

Thanks Clayton. I did do the segmenting. The kit in the first pic is called Concava from PSI. It's a twist pen but I think it's a lot better than most twists.

Those turned out beautiful.  I especially like the curve of the cap in the cherry tree one.  Nicely done!
