After poking around a bit, it turned out their inbox was full. I went ahead and bumped up the number of stored PM's from 50 to 100 for regular members. SSV Patrons get 500 stored PM messages. But it would be a good idea to go through your Inbox and delete any old messages you don't want so your inbox doesn't fill up. It sneaks up on you quickly, and people won't be able to contact you. You can find out how much you're using by going to your Personal Messenger manager. It shows how much you've used on the left sidebar.
