she wanted me to make her another cross but this time out of pressure treated 2x4".i googled it for the right dimensions but couldn't find anything to help me .I did find it needs to be 3 to 1 what ever that means .so i ended up trying to use all the8' 2x4''  to make the cross .each piece at the top is 16 1/4"x 3 and the bottom is 41 1/2".I notched it and did a real rough job of it .To fix it i loaded it up with silicone caulk and 1" pin nailed it about 20 times each side.this will be a test piece, lol And to top that all off the pin nailer couldn't get any air from the compresser as the compressor wouldn't start..it's new 6 years ago and i had to fix it after sitting  but got it going ,but this time i tryed in side and it would'nt work i started to dissect it and stopped to think some-more ,do i really want to do this after working all day ?then i came up with a brain storm ,maybe because the cord im using inside doesn't have a ground on it .i tryed the outside cord and it fired right up so maybe i have some wires switched .they are not the usual colors there was a problem right away but it's working  dont try to fix it or u will render it useless!post-1607-0-54102500-1389142660_thumb.jpg

Kevin, I enjoy the way you have described making the cross.
Why you made it, how you made it, the problems you had making it
and how you solved a problem. I enjoyed.
The title tells it all and the cross is a nicety to make for her.
God bless.
