Travis Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Here's a really clever article from Rockler. I've seen these techniques before, but never put together in a project like this. Really cool. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Travis great idea I'll have to buy one of them dado blades for my saw not cheap though. I've heard of people doubling up on a single blades to get the thickness don't know if it works. Roly Quote
Rob Roy Posted January 16, 2014 Report Posted January 16, 2014 Hi Roly, be careful if you're going to buy dado heads. Make sure your table saw has an extended spindle. Also I think the maximum width you'll get is 15.5 mm. Personally I wouldn't touch them, seen too many close calls, safer with a router. That is only my humble opinion of course, which is usually ignored. . The fore mentioned applies to the UK only. Weird rules ??????. Take care all. Rob Roy. Phantom Scroller 1 Quote

I just don't like the idea of the pain of keep changing the blade back to single all the time I think I would need another saw set up with a dado blade I do have an extended blade spindle in mine and I always use the single blade for dados at the moment or my router table but good advice. oldhudson Posted January 18, 2014 Report Posted January 18, 2014 That's a nice looking frame. I'll give that a go soon. Unfortunatly I have nothing to frame LOL. I'm pretty sure I have some 8/4 cherry in the garage. Thanks for sharing. Quote
