browders Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Great looking piece. The use of wipe-on poly intrigues me. I've seen it, but never read much good or bad about using it. Quote
Phantom Scroller Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 Looks very nice, like the wood choice as well. Roly Quote
Travis Posted March 11, 2014 Report Posted March 11, 2014 I've used wipe on poly for some of my turnings. It goes on really nicely and streak free. However, it takes several coats to build up a good film. It is in essence polyurethane diluted with mineral spirits. Probably not great for fretwork, but I know lots of folks use it for intarsia.
