Just come in and help yourself ,milk's in the bottom of the fridge, sugar and tea is on the table along with the oat cakes and butter. I have been coerced in to going down town and it's peeing with RAIN. . Have a good day everyone. Rob Roy. Quote
Dan Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Thanks for the coffee Roy. The pills didn't go down as well as I thought. How many was I supposed to help myself too? After 3 days of rain, we should have a sunny day just a little on the cool side. I'll be out planting trees today. The park has 1000 to plant so I hope everyone shows up. Quote
LarryEA Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 'Morning Roy, Dan and all. Thanks for the coffee and oat cake. Yes it's raining here also. I gotta go in the muck to feed horses. Larry Quote

You'll be sick looking at trees by the time you've finished that lot Danny. We have the opposite here, we live on the edge of a country park, complete with a castle, and they are clearing a whole load of trees ,mostly pines and a few deciduous. There's now acres of clear which I believe they are going to replant, what with I don't know. We shall await the outcome. Have a great day Danny. PS you should have taken 5 pills Danny. 2 from the pink box 2 from the brown box and 1 from the blue box. Rob Roy. Edited April 5, 2014 by Rob Roy Quote
Kepy Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Thx for the coffee. I will pass on the pills as I have enough of my own. A while ago I went to the Dr. to see if an ablation would get me off the pills. She said I was too old and it probably wouldn't work so I went home with a new pill in addition to those I already had. Sometimes I think I should just stop all the pills and let nature take its course. Rob Roy and amazingkevin 2 Quote

Fay Prozora Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 Having my coffee right now and enjoying the sunny weather we are having this a.m. I might go down and sit on the patio in a little bit. I went down to try to loosen that tight bolt on my new drill press and it is still as tight as ever. It has a table tilt function and I want to be able to use that but the dern bolt is so tight I can't loosen it. Just tried my forstner bits on it and I loved the results on that. so I think this little press will come in handy on some projects. Well going to go lie down for a spell as I feel like I need a little more sleep. Have a great day y-alls Fay amazingkevin 1 Quote

Dan Posted April 5, 2014 Report Posted April 5, 2014 You'll be sick looking at trees by the time you've finished that lot Danny. Well, the way I look at it, the more trees I plant today the more woodworking my great, great grandkids will be able to do. I'm by no means a tree hugger, but I love the shape they provide, the wildlife they attract, and yes, even the leaves in the Fall. Our county parks have acquired a lot of land over the years. Most of it was forest before we turned it into farms. Now most of the farmland is being developed into subdivisions. So it's nice to work toward returning the land to forest. I doubt I'll be around to see it come to fruition but others will enjoy it. Besides...no wood = no scrolling. Oh, except for Randy aka hotshot.. Rob Roy 1 Quote

When I was an apprentice, (a year or two ago???) the master always said " there's only two people who know what is in the tree and they are the MAN upstairs who made it, and the sawyer who cut it up". As you say,Dan, if we don't plant them now, our great great grandkids may not know what a tree looks like. Now that WOULD be a total disaster!!!!!. Hope you had a great day Dan.
