Dan Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Our county park needed people to monitor geocaches in the parks. Having an interest I decided to volunteer. What a blast! One of the rules is if you take something from a cache, replace it with something else. I decided to make these bookmarks with the park logo to put in park caches that I find. These are made of local hardwoods. Travis 1 Quote
Rob Roy Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 They are very nice Dan. Lucky you didn't have to make one each for every one of the trees which were planted Rob Roy. Quote
LarryEA Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Dan, I like them. I like them enought to ask their dimensions. Larry Quote

Dan Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Rob, if the park would allow me to take some of the fallen trees I would make a lot more. I don't know if I could make 1000 of them though. Larry, they are 1.5" x 5.5" and about 1/32" thick. Once I got the bandsaw all aligned it wasn't too bad to cut the blanks, it just took a long time. Don, I wish I would have used an original name...I just used danhart26. I may try to change it if possible. I plan to try to locate about 50 caches per year. I've already got 4. LarryEA 1 Quote
