lawson56 Posted May 25, 2014 Report Posted May 25, 2014 I know it may sound kinda a crazy.I have never heard of them either. But I have a request from a customer for one.I have looked one the net for one can't find one.he said he had one. Do any of you Great pattern makers or anyone have a pattern of one of these elusive cars? Quote
lawson56 Posted May 26, 2014 Author Report Posted May 26, 2014 O Lord! Yea I saw those to.I,m pretty sure he's wanting the whole car Kevin' Thanks for trying Quote
DonR Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 Bobby, I have never heard of a Chevrolet California either, but doing a little research, I believe that the California designation refers to the California Chassis which apparently was a one piece frame modified for the C4 Corvette. See the details on the attached. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/application/onlinesubmission/lotdetails.aspx?ln=746&aid=466 Don R Quote
amazingkevin Posted May 26, 2014 Report Posted May 26, 2014 Wooah! Donr That's one sharp find ! Quote
Birchbark Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 I am thinking that the above link, for the coupe that has an original California frame, it would be as if it had an original Florida frame, or Montana frame, or Original Ohio frame. California designation is just to let you know it wasn't from New Jersey etc. All that coupe was NEW or Original. I may be wrong, but that's what it sounded like to me. On the other hand i have a friend that says he owns a Mustang convertible that has a California A/C in it. Just a few of those made. None had AC if they wree convertibles, except in California. IDK. Just my two cents on that coupe. Russell Quote
Birchbark Posted May 27, 2014 Report Posted May 27, 2014 Apparently i don't have permission to edit my own posts on this site. I tried but to no avail. I wanted to say, I would tell the customer to give you a picture of his car and let you turn it into a pattern, or go to his place and take one yourself. jmo Quote
