  3. I recently got myself some thin sheets of King William Pine from Tasmania. It looks nice and it looks sturdy, I thought it was just right for Christmas ornaments. I have just spent an hour preparing the wood etc., and cutting a special ornament for my son in law but as soon as I started taking the pattern off I knew it was toooooooooooo fragile and yes it broke in two places. Even if its glued back together its still going to be fragile. The moral to this story is, never judge a piece of wood by its beauty. Marg

  18. Dave I always buy Olson blades and believe it or not, it is actually cheaper to buy them from America and have them posted than it is to buy them here. In fact I worked it out yesterday that I would have to buy 5 and a 1/2 dozen in Australia to equal 12 dozen I get from the US. Marg
  19. Thanks guys. Forgot to mention that they are the team colors. Marg
  20. I received an email at the end of June and they were very apologetic and asked that I wait another month before reordering. Well my blades finally arrived today, thats almost 2 months to get from America to Australia, seems that we are back to the bad old days of sailing ship and horse and wagons. Marg
  21. I got some patterns a while ago from Bobby ( @scrollriffic ) They are all Australian Rules Football teams and one Melbourne rugby team. Anyway i finished them a while a go and forgot to show one to you. I have sold two of these and now I am about to start the football ones. It's about 20inches long and 5 inches tall, the back is 1/2 inch pine and the Melbourne is 3mm Hoop ply, oh and the white is thick card. Hope you like it. Marg
