Marvelous work Pete. You did a excellent job of the thin blue line, I am sure you are going to get inquiries about it. I love the coasters, so different. Hope you get some warmer weather soon.

No they can only be found at certain places, usually the mill owners have there own stalls at various wood shows and thats where I pick up my wood. You may also want to check out Tasmanian Blackwood.

That wood was Ironbark. I have worked with New Guinea Rose Wood, that has a lovely finish. But my all time favorite to work with is Tasmanian Blackheart Sassafras.

This is the first box I have ever made and it was for my daughters cats ashes. I was not game to inlay the letters without a lot of practice. Anyway the wood is ....... opps I have forgotten, and the letters and paw prints are from 2.5mm bamboo.

THE WOOD IS IRONBARK.
I love that you have painted them, what a great idea. They could be painted in your teams colors and your wife's team the opposing teams colors. Love them, well done Frank.

Len we had the back tension knob turned right down, no tension at all. Problem fixed now, gave it a good clean and some Vaseline and back in working order.
