  1. Lovely wood you got there Frank, great find. I love your ornaments. I will have to take another look at Steve's ornaments. I love the bell with the zig zaggy Christmas tree that's my favorite but they are all great well done. Marg
  2. Welcome to the Village Ron. I'm Marg from Australia. We all have to start somewhere. If you have any questions just ask, does not matter if you think they are stupid, to us no question is stupid except the ones you don't ask when you need help. So pull up a chair and make yourself at home. Marg

  12. Thank you Paul for this pattern. It was not an easy one, I broke the first one and when I pulled the pattern off, another piece fell off so I had to add a few bridges and that made it a little easier. It was not going to beat me. Cut from Hoop Pine 3mm ply. It's a Christmas gift for my son in law. The Richmond Tigers are an Australian ( AFL ) Rules football team which is a lot different to soccer or if you prefer English football. Marg

  20. Welcome to the Village Blake. I'm Marg from Australia. Love the Intarsia cat, it beautiful. You are right about one thing, scrolling is 85% practice, practice, practice. But most of all enjoying what you are doing. Marg
  21. Mr Hornsby is from the Steve Good stencil printer and the oval names, well, I did the pattern from a template that I came up with about 10 years ago. I figured out how to do the oval names on Windows when I still had XP but now I have a new computer and Window 10, ( even though my computer guy put all of my stuff from my old computer onto my new computer ) it keeps wanting to turn the oval into a rounder shape. I may have to try to recreate my template. Marg
  22. I popped out to the garage to take a look, just for you DW. It's Rosewood. Marg
  23. Very nice. Great lettering. Marg
  24. Very nice. I got a catalogue from them today and I was looking at the ornaments that you made, very impressive. Well done. Marg
  25. Welcome to the Village Bryan. I'm Marg from Australia. Yes I would say it sounds like a sewing machine, maybe a bit louder. Quite a few of the Villagers scroll in their basement, I would too if I had one. My grandson and granddaughter have both used my scroll saws and I had no worries that they would cut a finger off. If your daughter can use a sewing machine she use a scroll saw. Marg
