  1. Hi Kris, welcome to the Village. Yes painters tape IS THE BEST way to get those patterns off, life before the tape was murder. Love the hearts you did an excellent job. Marg

  3. Thanks guys for all the terrific comments. I have just gotten back from delivering the three headaches and the lady was really thrilled with it and she didn't quibble about the price either which was even better. LOL Marg

  5. I know some of you already use this little tip but I thought some of the new members may not know of it so I took some photos to explain. To use more of the blade cut yourself a board to fit the surface of your scroll saw, I used melamine and put a hole where the blade comes though, this allows you to lift your work to get more out of your blades and not to waste unused blades space. The first photo shows the under side, where I glued a piece of non slip material and 3 little legs that sit over the side of the scroll saw to avoid any slipping while cutting. The second is of the board sitting on top of the scroll saw and the third is obviously the scroll saw. Marg
  6. I'll swap you for my neighbour, she's a real nutter and I'm not joking, I would LOVE to have a neighbour like yours. Marg

  14. You are making us all very envious and to think that last year around October my husband offered to buy me one and I SAID NO because my DeWalt is working fine. Maybe he'll ask me again this year. Marg
  15. Well they are finally finished, 2 weeks to cut (could not spend all day on them they were doing my head in, LOL) 4 coats of water proof vanish, 4 days for the glue to dry and with a bit of luck they will be delivered tomorrow. All of it was cut with a straight blade except the Y looking shape above the left Pugs eye, that was done with 3 spiral blades (they kept breaking so I gave up). It measures 21 3/4inches wide and 18inches deep, all 3 patterns are full size. Thanks to Grampa Paul, Chris 'Messman' and Judy Gale-Roberts for the patterns. Marg
