  1. Thanx guys, I had to change the relation of the pattern to accomodate the pen size then scrolled the 3D pattern, scrolled another blank for the bottom barrel then turned the blanks together, using a pin chuck on the top barrel Thanx for looking ~ Joe
  2. Thanx for the welcome here are the photos of the combination of scrolling and turning I just posted the photos in my gallery without thinking I should just post them here DUH The spoons are a 3D scroll pattern but I forgot where from and I incorporated the idea into a pen then turned parts of the top and bottom barrel It's Purpleheart with an African Blackwood centerband Thanx for looking ~ Joe
  3. Hi, I just found out about this site from the scrollsaw workshop and it looks great. I have been a woodworker all my life, and started scrolling in 1986 with a craftsman 16". In 1988 I bought a Hegner and never stopped cutting, I did the shows and consignment shops, and due to health issues, now just do it for enjoyment. I am also a member of the penmakers guild and was elected in due to a combination of turning and scrolling ( a scrolled 3D closed end pen). I am planning a move to Pa right now so time may be limited but hope to visit here often as it looks like a great site. Thanx for letting me join the fun ~ Joe
