  1. I cut two over the weekend and it was a struggle.. edward
  2. I only paint the backer board, and use acrylic craft paint which dries real fast, I myself dont really like to paint, but the project looks better with color. I do a lot of military plaques, and color does work. edward
  3. I just got my blades from WTB today, I also ordered a gross and got a discount, it took 4 days to get my order, guess its not to bad. edward
  4. Got a e mail yesterday from Mikes workshop, and says its still in business, if you have the old Mikes workshop just click on it, then refresh the page and it brings up the new one.. edward
  5. I glued two pieces of 3/4" Popular together and still having trouble cutting them on my dewalt saw, after using FD#5ultra, blade seems to dull quickly, have the speed up higher. Am I using the right blade. Just wondering if I could reduce the pattern to fit 3/4" wood, would this work. Just curious. edwartd

  9. I got mine from a supermarket, they are the ones that hold the role bags in the produce department, just ask them to save some for you, they only throw them out, there about 5" long, works for me. edward

  12. I did one a few years ago and finished another one today, and added a little color to it. edward
  13. Finally finished this outdoor plaque, and gave it to a friend and he liked it. I really dont like to do outdoor items, as the weather can cause problems, did put a good clear finish on it. Thanks guys for the pattern. edward
  14. NC scroller I only went for the day, and didn't do any classes, I also found out that another person was there that I knew, o well my loss. edward

Went to the Scrollsaw woodworking and craft show yesterday, had a good time, talked to some vendors and also bought a variety of packaged wood, which looked very good. 11 pieces of 1/4"x4"x24" for $50, which I thought was a good price, and great for ornaments, should keep me busy for awhile. The weather was really nice for awhile was 74 degrees then dropped 20 degrees later in the day.. edward
  16. Not to early to start Making items for Christmas, here are a couple Nativity clocks done on 1/2" oak and added colored plexiglass which was optional, got the pattern out of a book that I purchased last year. edward
