Hi Hi keith A freind of mine builds dolls houses and furnishings he buys in bulk I just get the odd sheet of him.... If there is a cabinet maker near you have a word they usually bin some good peices of hardwood and ply that are to small for there use but perfect for what we use and most of the time they give it for free...Paul

Hi , I use Danish oil put on with a brush so i dont break of any small pieces, you can get the danish oil with a slight color stain to it Mahogany,pine,oak, ect. Untreated it might get bleached by the sunlight, I have a Piece of scrap that I have put different finishes on with the name of the product, that way I can see what the finished piece will look like and what to use...........Paul

Hi Marg....I think the dewalt scrollsaws have a built in fuse I would check that first, Alot of scrollers on ths site have dewalt so i am sure they will sort you out...........Paul

I had a new kitchen a few years back and put parts of the old one in my workshop I use MDF for the tops that way when they get chipped I can turn them over or just replace them, the stock 4ft x 2ft sheets just slip straight in, I like a clean flat surface to work on so I change them about every 3 month............Paul

Hi never used a 788 But I had an old rexon that did the same and it was a fault with the variable speed switch.....

Hi Christina, Wow that turned out great you have every right to be proud dont under estimate your talent........... About the wings when I have to cut a thin bridge I tilt the table to give an angled cut it looks like a 1mm cut from the top but 3 or 4mm on the backer side.......once again great work Paul

Hi Vector01 It is backed with leather, I buy old leather just for my Portraits Ithink it gives a bit more texture than just using a black backer..
