    After lurking in the background for quite a while I'm posting here to stay current. I've been scrolling for about 15 years, as time allows. I have a Walker-Turner 700-series saw from perhaps the mid 1940's. After using pinned blades for a couple of years I was able to get it converted to use plain-end blades. Love the free pattern section, and the work by the members who provide those patterns.

    Picked up the "Scroll Saw Workbook" by John Nelson, brand-new condition, for $2. Also found a handful of old drill bits for a brace at 50c each. I think yard sales are your best bet for deals (vs. auctions), but they can get addictive and you come home with stuff you want, stuff you might use sometime in the future, but not stuff you need.
