    I've had a long bolt come loose on the main conneting rod .Tightend it up and used lock tight problem fixed . also in the lower front was a broken bolt holding the moving levers .Tight as a drum won't fall out but broken.

    I've wore out so many brands of scroll saws, Chinese and American and Canadian.Of all the ones i wore out I chose to stay with the DW788.Regreasing the Dewalt will give you a good 5+years of hard scrolling before. if ever the grease will need changing(car axle grease) Other than that the usual repairs like a broken bolt,bellows,Thumb screw.Best thing i ever did was switch to the Dewalt!!!

    Glad you brought that up about a battery powered router. I have a Ryobe 18v. and never used it in the file cabinet where I keep a lot of electric tools!!!

    LOL. i've had over a dozen dewalt dw788's type 1&2 at one time. Got them one at a time at a good price. Just wait till your saw is down and can't scroll. You will drive tony up and over a wall!!! I don't like down time. This is my reason to have more than one!!! Plus extra working parts are a plus when needed. Wish i could set them all up and have classes.
