    I wasn't sure if it's hard wood at first glance but looked it over and thought some company went thru a lot of trouble to make this as everything is built into it ,leaves flip out extensions etc S the next day i planed a piece and it's oak! Urica !Now i have plenty of nice oak,and did this cross from it 3/4 "thick and 4 ware houses got flooded in 6 " water across from me.

    Thanks Paul,so now instead of arthritis i have muscle pain from not using them since 2013,but it goes away till i do something i shouldn't do like move a piano.

    Way to go friend ,I was thinking you ran out of records to cut.They are always a site to see and hard to believe they are cut from vinyl .The few records i've cut ,I can really appreciate seeing yours and know what it entails.Good save on the pine .I too found a oak table and am busy cutting nice things from it from the hurricane trash piles.
