I've always noticed that different blades and brands are the cause of my wanderings off the line .That's one of the reasons i stay with Flying dutchman's blades.500 puzzles ?What do you do for fun?

Let us know what brand an model you bought used .You have good taste to chose a dremil plunge tool for your pilot holes,very fast and convenient to use and your not limited to 9" like a drill press.Its a good thing to have your holes at 90 degrees.

One big difference noticed changing from a Chinese machine to a Dewalt was there was no motor noise.I couldn't believe it was on and in silent operation.the only noise i would hear was the blade cutting the wood.Many times I'd forget to adjust the tension and still it would not fail to get a job done.no Chinese saw can do that.Although with no or little tension it gets a little noisy.that's what i like about the Dewalt is the sounds i makes lets you know somethings not right.Wish i could help .

You have to press down on the wood to not let it move around on you. the thinner the wood the more you need to control where the wood goes as when cutting!
