  1. i like the idea of lots of drawers under the saw.
  2. I threw out many Dewalt stands ,but i should have saved them for other electric tool stands ,Belts, ander.,spindle sander, drill presses,Router tables, etc.
  3. On rare occasions i get to stand cutting .But that's only when i have over sized projects to do,which i think were only 4 or 5- 20''x40"ones.
  4. i noticed that too! I've had way to many Dewalts and that brite yellow doesn't last long with piles of saw dust spewing out of it!
  5. Your work since you've joined SSV as been continually shot thru the ceiling .you've excelled like no other in record short time.a born natural .your at the top now ,where do you go from here?Who ever acquires some of your work will be in awe gazeing at the quality cuts you've bestowed on them.Congratulations Kevin

  10. That's something i never figured out ,NO TABLE.If i do have one it needs to be set up out side ansd then put inside when finished as im in a ware house complex thats not loaded up with things that should be in your ware house.Everyplace i ever had to work and store thing has always been to small for a table. And if i set one up i can't get around it .No room to spare
  11. Yeah i charged her full price .i can't work with one foot in the grave for cheap.and deliver and pick up the wood. Thanks Ike.
  12. Thanks Jim.First with 3.5 tons of tools ,who would have thought there would be no work in the recession, and now 3 years ago who would have thought i could not work anymore because of arthritis.always something.
  13. Oh Jerry ,i just about cried at now being able to perform.I'm only 65 but the arthritis is killing every move.

  17. Well kind of .She sent two different measurements one 20 " and another 23" so I'm thinking that if i do it all 24" there's no waste in the full sheet of plywood.Well big mistake that extra 4" will cause a blind spot to watch for theft.so she had to call someone on craigs list to cut 3 sides per box for $50.00 because i could not do one more thing for her that day.Simple job but not for me after struggling all day .I'm happy though.I'll make it up to her in jobs i can do on the scroll saw .She's the one that gets the ANKH's from me 3' tall 24'-10" -8" -6"-3"-&2" Plus lots of other small things ,Ring holders etc.
  18. Yes i know She my one and only last customer and i need her as much as she needs what my scroll saw can do for her.i hate to tell her no ,But she understand now. Thanks Marge!
  19. I've put in my years working and worked for my self.I'd always have the tools to make the job as easy as possible having the right tool for the job.I guess those days are gone.Yeah the mind says i can do it but the body say no .Being 340 pounds and working on the ground adds to much stress and strain on the body.it's all i do muster up to get back on my feet top get something and get down and right back up to get something i forgot.Enough~Thanks Ron .Mom's right!
  20. And what an ordeal it was .I wish i could get one station but can't i just want to watch Joel Osteen on sunday mornings. All that get up sing sit down get up sing is for the birds now at church .i can't do it anymore. Thanks Gordie.
  21. Everybody wants journeymans wages .even to sweep the floor. My first big screen monitor .I m loving every second using it.It would be a great help for a patterning person i believe?
  22. Tell me about it Dave ,That's one thing i love about scrolling and the size of scraps i find at cabinet shops that are ready to cut on the scroll saw.
  23. Most people ,Me included only shake a rattle can 20 seconds instead of a solid 2 minutes .holding the can closer than 18 inches lets a lot of the thinner in the can soak on top of the project causing problems. One of the main reasons for the thinner is to get the paint out of the can. When i'd paint cars,I'd open up the spray gun and dust the car from 3 feet away to get a nice tack coat for sequential coats closer to adhere too. This is a great looking project with the full bodied look of a hefty wooden clock.
  24. You've lived up you your nickname "King Midus" No fire wood projects come out of your shop.
