    Not knowing what kind of wood your going to practice on all i can say is.Have at least 4 teeth in contact with the wood at all times as a starter.A #5-#7 blade is an all round blade for most thicknesses of wood.

    Was to tired to post last night after delivering all the names to two stores.Good thing the girls don't wear lipstick,lol today i only have 2 names to do and kept falling asleep from the heat and it's 4:34 now an haven't started

    Len ,in my experience with wood flooring's is .i think they kind of make them water proof with by adding sand in the mix.My 4'-4.5 carbide saw blades don't last at all an you can see sparks coming off the blade I don't cut wood floor pieces any more as your correct in that they eat up the blades quick.

    6 hours on the Dewalt .She's a 20" x 22" piece of work in cheap 1/4" 3 ply garbage board from the big box store.It held up good ,no breakage.I think this is Donr's pattern.I feel asleep at the saw twice so maybe the cutting time was 5 hours total ? not sure you can click on the box in the top right corner of your monitor to enlarge or reduce the picture som you can see it all in one shot.Its the three horizontal lines you click on.

    Yes that's true ,but all of the sudden God put in my path the "Babe Ruth locker 3" madallion worth more than all the thousands an thousands of names i've made since 2009.I believe! I'm putting all my irons in the fire to get the top dollar for it as soon as i can .
