Hi Kelly ,Good morning!I use the flying dutchmans blades and like them .I like the big box store blades too.I don't like to sand too much so i order the scroll reverse blades .The have teeth on the bottom that cut on the up stroke and leave minimul sanding on the bottom.Seeings as your new ,the blades go in the scroll saw with the teeth faceing down.When they are reversed it leaves fuzzys on your pattern paper and you can't see the line to cut very good .Plus it leaves your good side chipped.Hope this helps.

I'm happy to give my stuff away!My real joy come from the folks in the village with their kind complments.Makes it all worth the effort!It's all practice pieces.I a buck comes in that's precious to me!I enjoy jokeing with the customers and always have free stuff,everybody likes free stuff!My first craft show i did $190.00 nobody else sold anything.I was in heaven proud.I can't afford shows but this was at a park and free or a couple of bucks with no advertizement either ,except a sign out some where(1).On the way home i told everybody i met and they wanted to see and buy !Ralph better days are coming "the best is yet to come"Hang in there baby.When your at the end of your rope tie a knot and hang on!

Henryetta couldn't look better!You've got great control with that ryobe. I tryed a ryobe and my hand won't fit to change the bottom blade,lol Also look up something you like in silouewettes.of chickens ,ducks ,roosters etc.

If you really want to do something you will find a way.quiters never win ,winners never quit!You never fail till you stop trying!I was afraid to try lettering at first,i was afraid to try intarsia i was afraid to try a big many hole project .After i finished each one i looked back and said the was easy,bring it on!The great part about scrolling is cut something you really like and then if it doesnt sell you get to enjoy it till it does.I could never afford a dewalt 788 scroll saw.Somebody wanted my intarsia projects and would trade their dw788 for them.LOL. These were my practice pieces And this was a proffesional wood worker too.Beauty is in the eye's of the beholder.That was the best deal ever!No one will know there's a mistake in it or maybe there's 20 mistakes,nobody knows but you.And after you've had it a while try and find the mistakes,lol you won't Don't be to criticule about your work It all looks great!Thanks for joining!

What a beautiful tree.I've never seen one without sharp edges ,Possiably this one when painted will be ladden down heavy in snow I can appreciate your artist rendition of the tree.It's soothing tom look at and i real like it!Good job ! Go girl!! :thumbs:

Hi Kelly , I struggled so hard for years doing letters only to find out That everybody used a computer to print out the words for you.Here i was using paper stencils which took a long long time to correctly space and all.Having the correct speed for your skills makes it or breaks it for you.Don't spent alot of time trying to stay exactly on the line .That will only slow things down and take the fun out of it.I only go off the line a saw blades width before i catch it and then just continue on and gently feathering my way back on the line. No biggy ,nobody knows,lol

I'm noticing more and more the extra quality you put in your projects more and more.They stand out above the norm!The knobs are a great change of venue from hooks that tear into the leash after time.Your hard rolled sanded edges on project add that touch of Roly class that sets the pace i like.Keep the great ideas coming ,non better !

I think skip tooth blades help in getting rid of saw dust which helps

i'm guessing but somewhere i think i read that a skip tooth blade helps tremendously.Makes sence to get rid of the saw dust in the cut to cool the blade and such.I would try a #12 for starters and then go down.I've even cut band saw blades 5" .Use a thick one to lessen the bending or adjust to suit your needs .That's my cents worth.Hope it helps .But you can e-mail mike at" mikes workshop.com" ,he knows his blades
