  6. Your welcome DW, I've wanted to do some more hands for a while. The church got the last ones " PRAY WITHOUT CESSEING"i think they were 18" tall , scroll saw style .
  7. I'm amazed at the luscious beauty of this wood I've never even heard of! One Of GOD's best !

  11. Thanks Clayton, i'm dumb , i should be saving the hard woods for paying customers , but GOD loves a cheerful giver, lol I was thinking about those boxes of hardwood i got from you and lost from the big move !
  12. i FOUND SOME POPLAR CABINET DOORS A YEAR AGO , PASSED THEM UP BUT CAME BACK THE NEXT DAY AFTER THINKING ABOUT IT.THEY ARE BIG 18" X 20" NEVER HAD A HOLE DRILLED IN THEM.Opp's capitals was left on.I knew a special project would warrant using them . Sure enough a request came in for a praying hand this size . i could have done them a few ways but the lady chose the easyest.14.5" tall x10' and 6"x4.5" both in poplar cut with the scroll reverse #12 blade............the little one on a solid red base ,what ever wood that is ,only one i had and the other stand is a ready made routed edge piece i found, hard wood, pre routed.$40 for the big one and i gave her the itty biddy one as everybody likes free stuff !
  13. Whoa the walnut looks great !Nice job!Great cutting on the LORD!
  14. Thanks larry ,works work
  15. Yep! more names ,almost.A new customer wants everything painted white so she can give me more money for them.Well, excuse me ,you don't have to tell me that twice, lolThere's more that goes to her i've been showing you but in other posts not yet painted white.Painting is a whole another ball game to get bit right and dust free, not my cup of earl gray i can tell you that.Paint ,sand ,Paint ,sand when will it ever stop to get it looking like wood ducks paint jobs?
  16. How much for everything? i see you have 220 volts over there across the pond. Does that include the lathe behind everything?Where's the stuff that didn't sell last year? Lits see your scroll saw while you're at it, buddy buddy!
  17. Corian smells so nice cutting it but is sooo harmful.Lots of love in that project!Good job!
  18. Roly, now you are hitting a soft spot. INK, Sir, yes sir Ink is more expensive than blood you know. But our famed Mr. Clayton, helped me out years ago with excellent advice. He told me i could fill my own cassettes for pennies instead of a 20 dollar or more bill per cassette.Ive saved tons of money i don't have with this tip.You search for NON OEM INK&CASSETTES. " OEM: MEANS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURE, SO JUST LIKE THE CAR DEALER YOU CAN BUY A PART FOR YOUR CAR AND PAY THRU THE NOSE OR GET IT FROM THE DISCOUNT PART HOUSES. It's easy to do and You will need the refillable cassettes to do this .You can find them on e-bay on the net.I need 4 colors so 4 cassettes ,4 bottles of ink and 4 hypodermic syringes come to about 28. bucks .I'll bet i refill them 5 times or more from the 100ml. bottles..Don't be afraid of getting ink on you it happens but when your good at it you can do it with out getting it on you!No big deal .My friend commented on why my hands were blue.but I avoided the question and went right into my speech about DID you hear the bank got robbed today,Yeah but their going to catch him cause a ink package exploded in it when he opened it so he's a marked man.Goes right over their head every time.lol
  19. Thank you Francisco!
  20. Mr Francisco, thanks for looking!!!!!!!
  21. Thank you DAN!
  22. Back again Ray, just went to alucha florida craigs list and found a hawk for $300.Many many beginer saws at a low price.in your search box enter craigs list alucha florida.then find tools then enter scroll saw in two words and you'll spend some time deciding on which one you want by price and make ,enjoy your new hobby! click on thishttps://gainesville.craigslist.org/ then enter tools and then scroll saw
  23. Welcome MR.RAY,Better get two saws as when the wife see's you spending more time with the saw than her she's going to want to get even!,lol.Sears saws are ok, i can't get my hand in the 18" or smaller ones to change the blade. The c-arm ones are great long life saws.Chinese saws are great beginners saws for the weekend warriors, but not built to last.Lots of these on"Craigs" list for under $50 bucks .No harbor freight scroll saw ever they are the worst! On chinese saws the connecting rod at the ends of the arms have no lubrication points and wear out quick.Start out with inferior machines so when you get a dewalt 788 you will be in 7th. Heaven and wonder how you managed to scroll with out one.Lots of creature comforts, but the best are the top arm lifts way up, making it easier to thread the blade through your projects repeatedly.Best thing i ever did was try a scroll saw !Greatest relaxation creature comfort around!
  24. i have built in radar for finding wood.Bulk pick up trash day has been a gold mine for hardwood furniture, I just break it up on the site to get it i the car. Baby cribs are the best for high quality polished hardwoods, perfect for name stands or key chains.Lots of oak chairs that are wobbly thrown out, cabinet backs are great thin stock to make clocks, dresser drawer sides are nice wood for names already the scroll saw size to use. Also the dresser drawer sides have a groove in them for the bottom piece of wood on the drawer that i make my little people stands out of them ,two peas in a pod here ,perfect fitI photo a person, copy to 8" x 10.75 ,glue them on the drawer bottom cut out around them glue them to a cut out drawer side groove and makes for a nice show piece. If a piece of thrown out wood looks to good it's probable particle board ,pass those up ,harmfull saw dust.when cutting..I never get pallets the wood it to hard and to hard to take apart to use, plus all the nails .i go for easy clean stuff. Lots of plywood from cabinet shops. But if you have a casket making shop they throw out the best wood ever. They are very picky
  25. Thanks BOBBY, PHYLLIS was one of the best flirters ever and you'd think I'd have made her name right away,NOOOO!I'll bet it's been close to a year and finally i had her write her name on my arm so I WILL NOT FORGET this time! And it worked.
