    For your 6th attempt,Awesome.The color,I myself don't normaly use color on my Plaques. Perhaps if you did have a backer board it would look better.

    I have never tried,for fear of the showing thru,So I always stain or paint last.

    I agree also,I have used the dust glue method,works great in some fixes, With this problem go with Russell's fix.

    Hi Rodney,A Big Welcome from Southern Tenn.I also started with a Craftsman yrs back.it squeaked.Now mine was oil,just oiled it in the proper places,according to the book,made sure the tension was right.and the squeaking stopped. Hope this is your problem.
