  1. I can not want to see the finished work.
  2. It appears to have something to do with the HP D2680 Deskjet printer. I can print from the Epson CX4800 stylus printer. Makes know sense to me. I just purchased a new black ink cartrige for the epson primter and it claims that it is empty. I have contacted epson to see if this sort of thing happened before. I am exasperated after nearly a week of trying to print a pattern. However, I did succeed, today.
  3. I am unable to print from Inkscape. The printer does not recieve the cashe. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the printer and Inscape, but I still cannot print patterns. I can print anything elses.
  4. Thank you for the advice.
  5. I have created a portrait from an artist's work. I have been given permission to use the pattern without any restrictions. I don't even need to associate it to him. I would like to share this pattern, but I would like the pattern not to be abused. Is there any way that I can personal place restrictions on the reproduction of this pattern.
  6. I am interested if you can learn approximately how much it would cost to ship it.
  7. i TEND TO AGREE. i AM THINKING ABOUT JUST OMITTING IT ALL TOGETHER.
  8. i HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR A WHILE AND WOULD APPRICIATE SOME ADVICE AT THIS POINT. DOES IS NEEDMORE ANCHORS? WHAT IF i WOULD ADD STREAKS TO JESUS' HAIR?
  9. Born and raised in Dulin, Ohio, but I presently reside just outside of Marysville, Ohio in an area we refer to as NO MANS LAND.
  10. I have made a notebook which contains pictures of the things I make. Behind each picture is a material listing sheet which contains an extensive listing of paints, brushes, technique etc. utilized in that project. If there are Things that are of a specific issue, these things are also noted. This enables me to reproduce the item without having to strain my brain to recall the what, when, how, and the why.
  11. I am finishing the 5 uncle sam whirligigs and trying to find information on finishing the scroll sawn portaits. I am also trying tolerate my 3 labs and their protests due to A sewer line installation through my front yard. The weather here is some what cold again. That's how the weather is in Ohio, it changes. I am looking for another project as I finish up these. I am also looking for craft show listings and making preparation to enter that arena.
  12. Really good idea. Thank you for sharing this information. I am thinking about craft shows, and I have know idea what I can expect. I am relatively new to this art. I have done alot of crafts, mostly sewing, crochet and knitting. I have sold items through consignment, but I wanted to try something different. Any suggestions are warmly welcomed. The weather here in Ohio has been great, except for the wind. The trees are budding and my allergies are too!
  13. Messman is right, but sometime the limitations themselves are not specific. I have purchased pattern package which specify how many of the product I can make and sell per year, but is the per each item or as a total. I have contacted the author to gain clarification on the stipulations for my own protection. "When in doubt ask questions!"
  14. Fantastic job!! It is very similar to the segmentation project that I did, which is posted in my gallery.
  15. When using a hammer be cautious about which NAIL you hit. My Finger Hurts like ....
  16. Good afternoon Hawkeye. I want to welcome you to Scroll Saw Village.
  17. To quote Jesus' final mortal words, "IT IS FINISHED". The Dolf font is tricky so use caution. I found the "E's" touchy.
  18. I had issue with the plan end blade when I began using them. I did something quite different. I took a pinned blade to my sander and I filed down the "UPPER" pins to permit the to access the drilled hole. Give it a try!!! I cannot recall where I read it, but another thing you might try is taking the set screw loose and sanding the end that faces the blade's edge so that it is flat. I find that my finger can not tighten the screw tight enough, so I keep a pair of needle nose pliers close by. I snug the thumb screw slightly and the lower blade remains in place.
  19. CONGRADULATION FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!!
  20. I have been using a #60 drill bit, which is technically a wire bit for those "TINY' areas. The one I use was produced be IRWIN and is available at most hardware stores. I have also used a drill bit designed for use with the dremil tool. If the area is one that is not detrimaental to the overall appearance of the finished product, it can be omitted. The thing to remember with scroll work is that no one will Know but you, unless you point it out to them. I hope this helps.
  21. Great work! I do not like spiral blades either. I find I have NO CONTROL as to where they cut. It may have something to do with the fact that I am accustome to turning the wood, but whatever the issue, I do a better just with straight cut blades!
  22. Beautiful work! GREAT JOB! Thank you for displaying them.
  23. Thanks Edward, that was exactly what I was gearing toward. I purchase a bracket today which I hope will solve the problem and permit me to retrieve my quicky claps!
  24. I am not attempting to attach it to the deck railling. I made the whirligigs with the idea of selling them. I do not want them to topple over in someone else's pocession. I guess I am asking if anyone knows how I can make them more stable, say if someone wanted to place it ina flower bed.
  25. I have been working on Uncle Sam whirligigs. I took one outside this afternoon and discovered the base is not heavy enough to enable the whirligig to remain upright. Presenty it rest on a 31/2 x 31/2x 2 inch block that is secured to a 3/4 x 6 x 6 inch piece. Any suggestions would be appriciated. He is fasten to my deck railing at the present time with a quicky clamp. Thanks
