    Thank you both for your suggestions. I think I will try the spiral blade. It seems like they would be easier to work with.

    I am just getting into scroll sawing. I was playing around with a pattern & there was some veigning in it. When I drilled a hole for the blade to go through, the hole was always very obvious. Is there a way around this? pattyb
