I don't have blade breakage too often, but when I do it's usually because I have a bad habit of overusing my blade. I use it until it stops cutting like it should, then sometimes (depending on what I'm cutting) I'll tighten the blade and slow down a bit on my feed rate, maybe up the speed of the saw. I do this too often if, say, I've only got a couple more pieces to cut out to finish a project and don't wanna stop to change the blade. Usually it'll get ya by to finish up, but sometimes it won't. Like I said, bad habit I know!!

This is my most recent cutting. Pattern by Travis. I LOVED this pattern and new when I saw it that I had to do it! Hope you don't mind, but I made one little "edit" on the pattern (little change in his eye). Just a personal preference. I stack cut for two, and the second one is gonna be framed in an oversized frame with a black suede matte and background.

Same here. Your free to cut as many copies of my patterns as you'd like, or make any changes to the pattern for your personal use (as long as you give me credit for the original), but please don't post the pattern in it's original or edited state on a different website. I only post on a couple of forums, for other scrollers who are members of those forums. Like travis said, it would suck to see your pattern on a t-shirt and find out that they have a copyright on it or something, lol. You wouldn't even be able to cut your own pattern! lol The problem is, I wouldn't mind it being on your website if you could control it to where only your potential customers could see it. BUT as it is, just anybody could come along and right click and save it and then you never know where it could wind up from there.

I usually upload into Corel. I usually do a quicktrace to "vectorize" the image, then change the pattern to the 20%gray with red outline, then resize if needed. Then, I either print, or publish to pdf for later printing.

Hey, thanks for the tip! My fiancee' wants to learn to scrollsaw. She says she would, but it scares her when the blade breaks suddenly (sometimes she watches me). Maybe that's the trick I need to get her started!!!

If I can figure out how to post pics here, then here is my first entry. I designed this one last week, and if I find the time, it is gonna be the first in a series of wildlife clocks. I also have pdf versions, and a version without the "twig border" if anyone preferred that.
