Paint is done. My wife and Daughter decided to surprise me when I got home from my last work trip and did it while I was gone. I can now finally start putting things in their permanent place. Need to do something for those two for sure. Now I get to start building wood racks, a downdraft table and a rack to hold all my rolls of carbon and fiberglass. I plan on closing off the area where the compressor is with some sound deadening panels I acquired and build a shelf across the top of all the steel shelves so I can place bigger things up there tat I don't use all that often.

A mini fridge, yes. I seriously thought about a bathroom but I would have had to tap into the sewer line going to the house, then that would have opened up a $10k can of worms.

Last of the spray foam insulation is done! I had him come back and do the last 18 inch strip at the top of the wall. I do plan on painting the walls just to brighten it up in there a bit. I found 5 gal of some "Maintenance Paint" at Lowes for $40.99. But otherwise now I'm going to start organizing where everything is going to go and start running my lines for the air compressor and the vacuum system. I have 6 shelf units that I will place by the back wall with a platform on top eventually.

Thanks Denny, it would shorten it slightly but I personally think it's too long anyway. I think I'm going to try it tonight before I spend $$. What's the worst that can happen, I break it? haha.

My Dewalt DW788 air nozzle is cracked right where it snaps onto the saw. So it isn't tight and just kinda flops about. I am here at work and was about to order a new nozzle but started thinking... Can I just remove the broken section on the end of the hose and snap the next section onto the saw? Is it the same size?

This one went pretty well. It was supposed to be anonymous as to who you got it from but everybody there knows my work. Our receptionist got it and she was super happy. I've done t a few times and its usually pretty good. I got a cool snowman to put in the Christmas village setup at home and way too much chocolate. haha. One of the guys got a clear glass ball and filled it with his custom spice mix he uses for grilling. That was pretty cool.

I wish... It would have been done a year and a half ago. haha. Little bit here, little bit there. I sold a couple model boats that paid for most of the insulation and sheeting. A couple work trips to Kuwait over this last summer paid for the spray foam. I don't have any credit cards so it takes time.

Had the ceiling and gable ends done in spray foam. Ran wiring for the whole North wall including three 220v circuits for the compressor, table saw and 1 extra. This last week I framed in the walls. This weekend we put insulation in and covered it with 3/8 OSB sheeting. Now all I need is to have the spray foam guy come back and do the strip above the wall. It's going to be a pain to fill it in manually because of the curve in the steel frame joists.

If anyone has not noticed... My logo has a dragon head that Bobscroll designed.

A friend asked me to make some candle boxes for her massage business. We wanted to do something that would throw some patterns on the walls but not be too bright. This will be for electric candles, not regular ones. I decided to make them more open in the middle to get a little more light out. We will see how they look when done. I may go back and redo the one with the larger opening in the center. Maybe just open up the center hole but we'll see. These are about 5 inches wide and 6 inches tall.

The job has taken me to Kuwait 4 times in the last year. Each trip about 30 days. Then 4 other out of town trailing classes or inspections so I haven't been doing much work in the shop til recently. I did have a couple RC boat orders. They are almost done. They are carbon/Kevlar. Turning out pretty good.

I've always used a respirator similar to the ones shown above. I have relatives with lung issues and do NOT want to deal with the issues they have. I've worn my respirator for hours and hours while scrolling, no problems, maybe a little hot in the summer but so what? I also use it when I'm cutting carbon fiber. You can't see it on your skin afterwards but you itch because of it. So I don't want that in my lungs either. I want to be doing this for a long time to come and be the "Old guy" that people go to for questions. haha!
