  1. Thanks Denny, it would shorten it slightly but I personally think it's too long anyway. I think I'm going to try it tonight before I spend $$. What's the worst that can happen, I break it? haha.
  2. My Dewalt DW788 air nozzle is cracked right where it snaps onto the saw. So it isn't tight and just kinda flops about. I am here at work and was about to order a new nozzle but started thinking... Can I just remove the broken section on the end of the hose and snap the next section onto the saw? Is it the same size?
  3. This one went pretty well. It was supposed to be anonymous as to who you got it from but everybody there knows my work. Our receptionist got it and she was super happy. I've done t a few times and its usually pretty good. I got a cool snowman to put in the Christmas village setup at home and way too much chocolate. haha. One of the guys got a clear glass ball and filled it with his custom spice mix he uses for grilling. That was pretty cool.
  4. Had an ornament exchange at work today. Here is what I did.
  5. I use a cheap digital kitchen scale for measuring out different resins for my composite work. I use Epoxy, Polyester, Vinylester, basically anything I can get my hands on. Epoxies are generally not as "Smelly" as the polyesters so if you are sensitive to stuff like that it a much better option. I prefer the liquid dye as I have found it's easier to use but both the dye and powder work well. You don't usually need much to get the color you want. Make sure that whatever you use is at room temp, not cold because it won't flow well and the bubbles (if any) will not rise very fast. Longer curing epoxy would be better to get bubbles out for sure.
  6. Good job Kevin! Looks great.
  7. Thanks! I need 3 clones of myself to get half of my list done. Building a new shop this spring, so I'll be able to get a lot more accomplished after that.
  8. These were for some people at work so I don't do anything with them. They all plan on painting them up. The snowflakes I kept that I posted the other day were sprayed with white paint and then glitter spray. They look really cool.
  9. Thanks! Now that I have the saw back in the basement for the winter I can do a little more work.
  10. Here was all the orders I did for people at work. I always stack cut 3 at a time. I'm good til next year. The Fox and Raven was just me messing around. I adjusted the slot after I took these pictures to make the Santas and Snowmen line up properly. The pattern was off a little.
  11. Thanks everyone! I made the mistake of taking some to work and showed them off. Looks like I'll be doing some more. haha! I'd much rather sit in the basement with the headphones on and be warm than be in the garage working on other things and freeze my toes off.
  12. It's been a while since I've posted anything. Needed some more ornaments for the tree this year plus I thought I'd give some as presents instead of shopping. Made one for the ornament exchange at work and a couple to just give away to friends. Shot them with some white paint and then glitter paint.
  13. It would be a thrill to see all trophy's you've accumulated since your upgrading in carbon fiber hand lay up hydro's! HAPPY BIRTHDAY FRIEND!!!!

  14. Nice job!
  15. I've told my wife that if you see me running a saw, anything from the table saw to the scroll saw. Just stand off to the side where I can see you. As soon as I'm done I'll shut down and we can talk. Don't turn lights off, don't yell, and for god sakes don't come up and touch me! If I'm concentrating and you startle me that's worse than anything.
