Here are a couple of toys that I have done. The rocking horse is a table top toy, not to be ridden and it was designed by my son. The train is from plans found in Shop Smith archives. The train has had many many hours of hard play and still chugs along.

I am one of the many that had the front to back adjustment problem with the DeWalt 788. I had tried every thing I could think of to adjust the table. I ended up going to Rich Hutcheson's website http://scrollsaws.com/ and used the "tune up" process of slotting the screw holes. It made a world of difference. So just letting you know, it worked for me.

Don't forget to check Craigslist for the free stuff. Did that the other day and 3 blocks away, someone had but 6 sliding closet doors out to be taken for free. They are the hollow core doors. Took them apart, now I have a good supply of 1/8" ply.

My saw is in the tuck under garage.

Its a toss up. The second one washes out some of the wood color. My Final vote is for the first one.

I feel your pain, I am about half way done with making the same bowl. Glad to hear you were able to salvage it. Looks good.

Just joined the Village and saying Hi. Central Minnesota is where I make sawdust. Looking forward to all the Scroll Saw Village has to offer and the great people here. Just up graded from a Delta 16" to a DeWalt DW788 and going OH MY.
