Thank you Kevin. It is going to be stand up size so I would probably be better off with the jigsaw since I will probalby be putting the design on a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood.

First of all, I have never cut anything with a scroll saw. I am in search of my first scroll saw. With the holidays coming soon, I want to cut out some deer and a manger scene for my yard. What would be the best saw for me to start with to accomplish these tasks. I love doing all kinds of crafts and I am pretty handy with power tools. Any help would be a appreciated. Thanks.
