  1. Mine is in the garage with all my other woodworking equipment which I am currently using as a workshop. God Bless. Altman.
  2. Hello folks, Just want to say thanks to all the replies, your opinion is highly valued. I must agree, tilting the table is more comfortable and it is better to see the pattern. God Bless. Altman.
  3. Hello everyone, Here is my first question, I read somewhere that your scroll saw table should be at an 23 degree angle. This angle allows you to see your pattern better. Please give me your advice on this matter. Thanks. God Bless. Altman
  4. Hi everybody, First of all thank you for the warm welcomes. I am really glad and thankful for all the offers of help and soon I will take you good folks up on those offers. Brett thanks for the link to Sue Mey, I did not know of her and have already registered on her web site. I am also glad to say, as it is it seems to be a bit of a challenge to get good quality saw blades in SA, I contacted Mike of Mikes workshop and he is very willing to help. Here is basically two places that I know of that I can buy blades and it seem that most of the time they may not stock Flying Dutchman. But as I said challenge overcome. Messman I visited your site too, will speak to you soon. Yes three scroll saws, well what can I say, saw opportunities and took them, now if got to find out where I can buy extra pair of arms and hands, think two scroll saws running at the same time. Sawdust, sawdust, sawdust, LOL. Thanks again folks speak to you soon. God Bless. Altman
  5. Hello everyone, First, thank you for allowing me to join your forum. My name is Altman vd Westhuizen, I live in South Africa, Pretoria. One of these days I will be 50 years young . I recently started doing woodwork as relaxation from work, during my search for woodworking articles I discovered scroll sawing. It immediately grabbed my attention and in a short time bought three scroll saws. One with my brother as he also became interested, a Ryobi. Speaking to a gentleman at the workplace I discovered that he bought himself a Delta Rockwell 50 years ago and he still had the saw. Long story short I bought the saw from him, it is a Delta Rockwell 40 – 110, Homecraft, 16†and it (I keep wanting to say she) is still purring like a kitten with a bowl of cream. I believe it is a 1952 model or should I say that is when the owner’s manual was revise. The last on is a local company selling an own brand which I picked up on a promotion sale, a MacAfrica, made in China. I have a wife and two sons, I am now married for 29 years to my wife and am enjoying every moment of life and the fact that I have a new hobby of which I know very little and have a lot to learn. So please be patient with the grasshopper, I will have lots of questions to ask in the further. Once again thank you. God Bless. Altman
