  1. Here is something I did over the summer
  2. I think pretty much everyone started with pin blades on there first saws, I know I did. I used to sand the pins down a little bit to make them fit in a smaller hole on the pattern, it works as long as they still hang in the top holder for the blade. good luck H
  3. thanks for having me as a member and I'll help out any way I can. H
  4. I usually cut 300 or so xmas ornaments and I use almost all pallet wood. I thickness plane the boards stack them up and start cutting. and if you are selective you can find some awesome grain in them. I watch for old dressers and desks the drawers are usually made from oak and are about 3/8" so not to much work for thin wood. good luck
  5. I've never had much luck with spiral blades, but I have put the blade in the saw backwards and sawn on the outer reaches of the board where it would hit the neck if using the blade correctly. hard to explain but it does work
  6. Hi all from NY, I have been scrolling for over 30 years. I sell some of my stuff locally and give away some, I also turn on the lathe. a little pyroghraphy, carving and some small furniture when time allows. I run a Dewalt for all my work, have a Hawk but thats another story. Thanks for having me as a member H
