  1. Hi there I was thinking of doing some projects where the light would pass through or wrap around the edges. I was planning in using led strip going around the outside, but I don't know what the effect would look like.

  7. Hi guys I was wondering if anyone knows about spraying. If I have a tin of normal clear varnish, can I thin it down with thinners and use it in my spray gun? Any info would be very welcome. Thanks all Martin

  9. Hi folk this is the first time I have tried collapsible baskets this weekend. A little tricky but got there in the end. I have not put any finich on them yet just glad I made some. Cheers Martin
  10. Cut this heart bowl and candle holder yesterday. Made from 3/4 pine and finished with a few coats of teak oil. Hope you all like and all coments welcome. Thanks to Steve Good and his pattern. Martin

  12. Hi all I was wondering if anybody had any tips on selling my portraits online. I have tried to post a few on my local selling site without any luck. I dont know if my photo's or my wording came across srtong enough. How does anyone else advertise there stuff and is there any certain way they photograph their portraits to give them more of an idea of excactly what your selling. To me I think the public only see and image on birch ply and dont get the full extent of my product. Any help would be most helpful. Thanks to all Martin

  16. My air feed on my saw has not been working for ages. I am planning on getting myself a fish tank pump as I have just had an operation on my nose and throat and I cant use my saw because of the dust. My question is to all you scrollers. What size of pump should I buy? I have a small one but it doesn't move the dust away. Any help would be very helpful Thanks Martin

  18. Hi all. I was wondering does anybody have plans or know where I can get plans to make a jig? To turn a hand held electric plane upside down and make it into a surface planer. I was going to buy one then I thought of my planer sitting doing nothing. I have seen something like it before but cannot remember where I seen it. Thanks for all your help Martin

  22. Hi all I am using birch plywood for the first time on my portraits. I have two portraits to do for my mum and aunt for christmas. I was wondering what would be the best choice of finishing should I use. High gloss varnish, teak oil or something else. All help would be very much appreicated. Thanks Martin

  25. I have been using gimp program for about 2 years now. I have just downloaded inkscape to see how it works, and its got me thinking. How many of you scrollers prefer gimp to inkscape and vice versa. Just intrested to know. Thanks to all who take part.
