  10. I do hope you are right Travis as it is very frustrating, as i have my first ever craft show on the 10th November and little time to do anything , i had been all ready to put in a good days scrolling when this happened I also have two portraits to do for friends so hoping for a good run of luck!
  11. Further to my previous problems with my new Excaliber 21 ex when the top connecting rod snapped while very little pressure was being used, after less than one hours use with the replacement one and while just ready to start another cut it tripped the electricity and would not start again ! done all the usual checks but still no joy so phoned the supplier this morning and turns out there is a small Glass fuse directly under where the "Kettle lead " connects to the saw , i checked this and that seems to be the problem so the supplier is now sending out new fuses for me ! if it was not for bad luck i would not have any luck at all . Peter

  16. Hi , i just got a new Excaliber 21 ex and in under two weeks the top linkage has broken just inside the top caseing and i was not putting much pressure on it at the time !! has any one else had the same problem ?? i am just a bit concerned with it being a new saw ! the company i bought it from has repaced it with a new one today but i feel i will not be as confident with it in case the same thing happens again !

  20. Hi , I have been trying to upload some photo's of some work i have done but it keeps telling me the photo is to big ! is there anyway i can resize the photo's ?? Peter
  21. Thanks for reply's Travis this sounds interesting for some pictures where the cut out is in one piece but not so sure for them with multiple pieces Wolfmoonct yes i have done this also and think it is a good idea where the finnished subject is within the size of the backing board the problem i am having is when subject and backing are the same size , i have been using mdf for a backing and up till now i have used iron on edgeing to finnish it off , i have tried to make frames but never can get that perfect mitre Peter
  22. Hi i am just new to scroll sawing and would like some advice on how to finnish a picture, so far i have been cutting 4mm ply and glueing to a black painted backing board but i dont know how to finnish the edges ?? any advise would be more than welcome as the actual cutting seems to be the easy bit ! Peter
